Thank you for stopping by. I've been reflecting in this spot for nearly 20 years. What do I reflect on? Sometimes it's faith. I'm a Catholic, but I often reflect here on faith in general, God's love, and his wanting us to love one another. I also reflect on family. I'm a happy wife of many years and we are the parents of six loving adult children. And, I reflect on the world around us, the world of people and nature. I think the book sounds excellent and I would like to win it!
As a survivor of sexual abuse, I think this will really benefit me.
I strongly encourage all survivors of sexual abuse to report their abuse to the authorities or members of their family (if the person is coming into contact with children in any way). It is highly unlikely that they are the only one that has been abused.
My brother abused numerous girls over 25 years before he was arrested. If my sister or I had spoken up we might have spared some young girl?! I'll never know, and I can't blame myself because I was too wounded to think about the other girls, until much later.
